The Tap Room at the Hotel Congress in Tucson was opened in 1919 and has been serving patrons of the hotel ever since (with a brief stop during prohibition, no doubt).
Today the Tap Room is an elegant throwback to the 1930's and 40's, with art deco decor and original paintings by cowboy artist Pete Martinez, who was a regular at the Tap Room.
The Hotel Congress itself features a live music venue--Club Congress--and three bars throughout, and a ghost (or ghosts). Also, don't forget the hotel's close connection with John Dilinger!
